The
Means/STNNNG split 7" (2004)
Released on April 3, 2004, The Means/STNNNG split 7" is the first release
from Chicago's Nodak Records. It is also the first release from STNNNG, and
additionally, it is the last release from Ohio's The Means. "A baton, of
sorts", says the label.
STNNNG's side includes two songs: I held it; for an instant, I knew what it was...and then it was vanished. and We Keep it Dark. Both songs were recorded by David Storberg at IPR on November 9, 2003 (the 7" jacket incorrectly lists this as 11/13/03), and mixed by David Storberg & Brooce Templeton at Asche & Spencer on December 13, 2003. The songs How to Avoid an Assassination and An Idiot for Tits were also recorded during this session, but were never officially released.
The 7" was mastered by Jeremy Lemos at Semaphore
in Chicago, IL. 1000 copies were made, and the jackets for the first 400 substituted
buff ink for red.
The Means/STNNNG split 7" is available for
